Security Considerations

Blocked file types: For security reasons, executable files and scripts cannot be uploaded. This includes: .exe, .dll, .bat, .sh, .py, .js, .php, .svg and similar files.

All uploaded files are:

  • Scanned for security threats
  • Validated to ensure they match their stated file type
  • Stored securely with encryption
  • Automatically deleted after your organisation's retention period

Working with Uploaded Files

Once uploaded, you can ask the AI to:

  • Summarise: "Give me a summary of this document"
  • Extract information: "What are the key dates mentioned in this contract?"
  • Analyse data: "What trends do you see in this spreadsheet?"
  • Compare: "Compare these two documents and highlight the differences"
  • Convert: "Turn this presentation into meeting notes"

See Document Analysis for more details on what the AI can do with your files.

Troubleshooting

File too large

If your file exceeds 10 MB:

  • Try compressing the file first
  • For images, reduce the resolution
  • For documents, try exporting as PDF (often smaller)
  • Split large spreadsheets into multiple files

Unsupported format

If your file format isn't supported:

  • Convert to a supported format (e.g., export to PDF)
  • Copy the content into a text file
  • Take screenshots of the relevant parts

Upload failed

If an upload fails:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Ensure the file isn't corrupted
  • Try a smaller file to test
  • Refresh the page and try again
